Argentine President Javier Milei is Taking on Inflation — with a Chainsaw

As a candidate, Javier Milei won over 55% of the vote, winning the November 19 election over Sergio Massa. This is the most any candidate has earned since Argentina became a democracy in 1983. Milei drew attention by bringing a chainsaw to campaign events, a symbol of his plans to take on the bureaucracy and the nation’s decades long inflation situation.
