The 2024 Presidential Election is fast approaching, on November 5, 2024. Recent polls favor Harris over Trump. Or do they?

As usual, the majority of polls favor Harris over Trump. They predicted a Clinton victory and a Biden victory. If you are reading this, you already know that Trump defeated Clinton and Biden defeated Trump.

Here’s an October 4 prediction model from Nate Silver, which aggregates multiple polls. According to this, the race will be close but Harris will defeat Trump.

Now these, are based on the polls he aggregates, but these polls were famously wrong in both 2016 and 2020, trending to the left of the actual results.

Now, a more rosy picture for Trump, from JL Partners, which appears to be more right-leaning. They predict at 56.7% chance of a Trump win. Either way, both of those odds are close.
